There is a certain fascination with animal play that I both understand and yet don't understand the appeal.  I can see that role playing gives the player a different perspective and a chance to let go of human worries and needs.  So that must be so freeing and wonderful to let go of those things that can be very difficult to cope with over time.  I struggle to identify is the role playing of a dog's or ponies, etc., needs and wants.  I would find it degrading to eat out of a bowl on the ground.  It's just so fascinating to me.  This is by no means a judgement of any kind, it's just a free association about something I am trying to figure out.
