When I think about what it takes to maintain any relationships, let alone a kink power exchange dynamic, it can be daunting.  Relationships in general take a lot of work, compromise, dedication, communication, and so much more.  Then if you and your partner are ethically, non-monogamous or poly, adding additional relationships add to the joy and the work.  So consider how much time can you really devote to a power exchange partner.  We are always up for the fantasy of a 24/7 live in slave... wouldn't that be just wonderful... But here in reality land, that is just not feasible.  So both partners have to be realistic in their expectations for the relationship and the how much time you can devote to said partner(s).

 

   I know I made this sound dire... I am really just trying to communicate that you have to go in with the correct expectations and a willingness to compromise to get the best result.
